Per-product privacy policies
Each Falloy product has its own privacy policy describing how that specific product handles data. Currently released:

The Falloy website
The Falloy website (falloy.com.au) is static HTML hosted on a server we operate. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts. Standard web server logs may record your IP address and the URL you requested for routine diagnostics; these logs are not used to identify visitors and are retained only for short periods.
When you contact us by email at support@falloy.com.au, we receive your email address and the contents of your message via our email provider. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry.
Site Toolkit privacy policy
The following section applies specifically to the Site Toolkit app and not to any other Falloy product.
Overview
Site Toolkit ("the App") is a construction site documentation tool developed by Mark Ballard, trading as Falloy.
Data collected
The App collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Photos and images — Photos captured using the camera for progress documentation and issue tracking. Photos are stored in the App's private storage directory on your device and may optionally be saved to your device's photo gallery at your request.
- Location information — Optional area/location text labels you manually enter for photos. Location metadata (EXIF data) may be included in photos if your device camera settings allow it. This information is stored locally and never transmitted.
- Metadata — Notes, descriptions, categories and priorities you add to photos; issue tracking information (status, dates, categories); calculator history and saved values. All metadata is stored locally using SharedPreferences.
How data is used
All data is used solely for:
- Providing the core functionality of the App (calculations, photo documentation, issue tracking)
- Organising and displaying your site documentation
- Generating PDF reports from your stored data
- Improving your user experience
Data storage
- All data is stored locally on your device
- The App does NOT have internet connectivity
- No data is transmitted to external servers
- No data is shared with third parties
- No analytics or tracking services are used
Data sharing
The App does not share any data with third parties. All information remains on your device.
When you choose to:
- Share a photo — You control what is shared through your device's standard share functionality.
- Save to photo album — Photos are saved to your device's gallery at your explicit request.
- Generate PDF reports — PDFs are created locally and stored on your device.
- Export data — JSON exports remain on your device until you choose to share them.
Permissions
Android
- Camera (CAMERA) — Required to capture photos for documentation.
- Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 9 and below) — Required to save photos to your gallery when requested.
iOS
- Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription) — Required to capture photos for documentation.
- Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription) — Required to view photos.
- Photo Library Add (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription) — Required to save photos to your album when requested.
User rights
- Access — View all your stored photos, issues and data within the App.
- Delete — Delete individual photos, issues, or clear all data through the App settings.
- Export — Export your data as JSON for backup purposes.
- No account — No account creation or login is required; all data is local to your device.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us.
Data retention
- Data is retained on your device until you delete it.
- Deleted data is permanently removed from the App's storage.
- If you uninstall the App, all App data is automatically deleted from your device.
- Photos saved to your gallery via "Save to Album" will remain in your gallery after uninstallation.
Third-party services
The App does not use any third-party services, analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
